Elk Country RV Resort & Campground is a Trinidad, California campground that occupies approximately 200 acres of natural coastline land. Between Orick and the seaside city of Eureka, Elk Country is conveniently located just along the renowned Redwood Highway, HWY 101.
The Elk Country RV Resort has two distinct camping areas: “The Forest” and “The Meadow.”
The Forest: Elk Country RV Resort
The Forest is lush, home to numerous old Redwood trees, and sits only up the path from a private lake. There is 38 full hookup back-in RV sites, six full hookups pull-through RV sites, one trailer rental, and 1 group site with a trailer rental.
In addition, there are also 31 dry tent sites and 11 tent sites with electricity. The RV sites at the Forest are all 30 AMP and have Wi-Fi.
The Meadow: Elk Country RV Resort
“The Meadow” offers one park model cabin rental, 11 full hookups pull-through RV sites, and 39 full hookups back-in RV sites. In the Meadow, only 8 of the RV sites have 50 AMP power, while the rest have 30 AMP.
Wi-Fi, restrooms, showers, and a Roosevelt Elk herd are available to tenants of The Meadow.

What Are Roosevelt Elks?
Roosevelt Elk may have been found from Northern California to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada before Europeans came to the Pacific Northwest. The Roosevelt Elk population significantly declined in the late 1890s and early 1900s due to increased hunting as more European settlers arrived.
Elk in Olympic National Park and the surrounding area are protected. Still, a few important presidents assisted in the actions that led to this situation.
- To combat deforestation, President Grover Cleveland established the Olympic Forest Preserve in 1897.

Tent sites cost $37 per day throughout the summer, RV sites are $42-48 per day, and 50 AMP sites are $53/per day.

There is a tonne of local attractions close to Elk Country RV Resort. The Pacific Ocean and Stone Lagoon are excellent for kayaking excursions and are only across the Redwood Highway. Stone Lagoon
At a height of 20 feet, Stone Lagoon is situated on the northern coast, an hour or so south of the Oregon border. The journey there via the redwood forest is as gorgeous as Stone Lagoon.
The paddling at the lagoon is among the best in Northern California. Around its six miles of shoreline, the ten mph boat speed limit and beautiful landscape offer unmatched paddling in a tranquil setting.
There are just a few pullout sites due to the enormous redwood woods that rise from the shore. A backdrop of stunning beauty provides awesome sights as far as the eye can see. There are lots of animals. Elk, deer, bears, raccoons, otters, seals, and whales are frequently seen.
